Perhaps the most important value of the Vector experience is that it is often the first real experience a young person has as a worker. Simple things that employers take for granted, such as being on time, keeping commitments, being accountable, and taking direction may be new to your child. The good news is that Vector is a great place to learn these skills. We provide support, guidance and constructive criticism that promotes growth and development. You can help in this effort by encouraging your son or daughter to stay in close touch with the office, and to ask for help early and often.
Most importantly, remind them that all new experiences present challenges. It's how they respond to those challenges that will help them build character and become the successful professional adults you want them to be.
