 A Company to Believe In
I want to sincerely thank everyone in North America for their tremendous contributions to our company in 2008. Looking forward, opportunity abounds.
We are projecting 2009 to be yet another year of significant growth. All of our regions have plans to make this a year of unmatched excitement and increased opportunity.
In contrast to this, you can't pick up a newspaper today without reading of the severe economic turmoil in which much of the world finds itself. Most of us have never seen conditions like this in our lifetime.
And while no one can forecast what the future will hold with certainty, many experts warn that we should brace ourselves for an even rockier 2009.
Given this climate, it seems reasonable, even responsible, to evaluate our own personal circumstance: Am I a part of an organization that is stable? Is my job secure? Will Vector be able to thrive despite a difficult economy? What are my prospects for success in the future?
In short: Am I in a good place?
Consider the following:
- Our company enjoyed one of its most successful years ever in 2008 (over $200 million in sales). It was a year of growth, despite challenges many other companies endured.
- New sales records were set in multiple competitive categories.
- More bonus dollars were earned by our reps and managers than at any time in our history.
- We have expanded to have an office presence in most every available territory, coast-to-coast. This is due to the immensely talented men and women - true entrepreneurs - who have joined our management ranks in recent years.
- We have an unparalleled leadership team in place - Executives, Directors, Region Managers, Region Sales Directors, Division Managers, District Managers - to guide us into the future. Their cumulative years of experience in running the business with honesty, integrity, care, enthusiasm, and uncommon results rival any comparably-sized company in the world. (Yes, I said world).
- While distressed businesses across North America laid off millions of employees over the past 12 months, our company has not laid off even one person.
Connected to the previous point may be the most important reason to feel bullish about your company: Individually, we have direct control over our destiny.
At Vector, you're not at the mercy of a corporate board making decisions about your job security based on quarterly profits. True job security comes from being able to rely upon your own commitment, initiative and ability to get the results you desire. This remains a founding hallmark of our program.
There is absolutely no doubt that we have the most loyal, skilled, professional, energetic, ambitious, fantastic people to be found in any sales organization on the continent. After nearly 30 years, I am more proud than ever to be on such a great team.
Building the most exciting and rewarding business in North America,
Bruce Goodman |
