The Direct Sellers Association of Canada (DSA) is pleased to announce that Dr. Derek Hassay, Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business and a champion of the direct selling industry has been named recipient of Service Alberta’s Consumer Services 2011 Minister’s Award….He has championed a number of initiatives over the years, including….partnering with Vector Marketing to create the Selling Smiles 101 program which provides students with experiential learning while encouraging philanthropy. Since it launched, Selling Smiles 101 has raised $150,000.

Students in a University of Calgary sales management course headed by Professor Derek Hassay at the Haskayne School of Business donated $29,392 to the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. The donation was made possible through a program within the course called Selling Smiles 101, a partnership between the class and Vector Marketing Corporation, the direct sales division of Cutco Cutlery Corporation…
